3D Printed Medium-Format Film Camera - Personal Engineering Project

 

Project Overview:

  • Modified the design of open-source camera models to meet personally mandated specifications

  • Coordinated purchase of all parts necessary while staying under pre-determined budget

  • Produced individual parts via additive manufacturing processes

  • Assembled camera parts in such a way as to ensure structural soundness and eliminate light bleed

  • Tested and evaluated camera functionality by recording input parameters (e.g. f-stop, shutter speed, etc.) and observing how these values affected the filmic results
